Harrison County, MS – Harrison County is now under a Tropical Storm Warning, Storm Surge Warning, and Flood Watch, including the cities of Biloxi, D'Iberville, Gulfport, Long Beach, and Pass Christian.
Additionally, flood warnings have been issued for local rivers, with expected rises above flood stage at the following times:
- Biloxi River – Wednesday night
- Tchoutacabouffa River – Thursday midday
- Wolf River – Friday afternoon
As of 10 AM, the center of Hurricane Francine was located approximately 150 miles southwest of Morgan City, Louisiana. Francine is producing maximum sustained winds of 90 mph with tropical storm force winds extending 115 miles outward. The storm is moving northeast at 13 mph.
Harrison County residents are urged to continue preparing for:
- Rainfall: Up to 6 inches
- Storm Surge: Up to 6 feet
- Winds: 25 to 55 miles per hour
- Possible Tornadoes
